About You Hair.

Wow I wish I was better at keeping this updated....but I'm not...so you get little updates and maybe a few pictures. Kenny Graduated from the Police Academy! YEAH. It was a hairy ceremony with Annalee...I missed the whole thing cause she wouldn't sit still. Seriously it was hairy, zoom in and look at my hair. What the, why didn't anybody say anything.



Then after graduation we went to AZ to visit the family. It was so much fun. We had Easter, Shane and Jen had their baby, and we ate and played a lot. This was Easter morning.

I looked over and Annalee seriously had her bunny basket over her head. She is a crazy nut and makes me laugh so hard.

Here is Shane and Jennifer's baby. She is so sweet and so small. This was her a few hours old. Oh she is precious! Shane blessed her a couple weekends ago and I'm so proud of him. He is such a cute dad.

We then went to Mexico for a couple of days. Annalee loved being outside...it took awhile for her to like the pool but after we found the indoor heated pool all she wanted to do was play in the water.

After Mexico I went back to Eagar and Kenny flew home to work. It was a blast playing with the new baby and seeing Shell and the boys. The weather was pretty decent in AZ too so we got to play outside...This is the boys flying kites.

Then Annalee and I had to make the 13 hour drive back, and yes we came back to snow :( I'm not sure how I'm going to handle this crazy Wyoming weather. They basically have two seasons winter and a short summer. Well in other news Annalee's follow-up appointment at Primary Children's went well. Yes, she does have ptosis, no there isn't really anything to do for it now unless it gets worse. The good thing is she will keep that same specialist her whole life so that is a big bonus. Poor girl, she already has an annual eye appointment. Her new thing is she will fold her arms before she eats. It's amazing what kids can pick up. She doesn't keep her arms folded the whole prayer but at least she does it. We were at a restaurant and we put a plate of food in front of her and she folder her arms and looked at us. I love her!!!

Gotta run to work or I'd post more...and yes, I am pregnant. Not planned at all, I was pretty depressed about it and now we are super excited. Our new little baby is due Nov 30th.

Business in the FRONT - Party in the BACK

Wow there is so much I need to update on...but I am pretty sure I will only get to touch on a few things. Annalee and I fight over the computer - serious she loves to type. Warning...it's going to be random.

Well we went to Primary Children's Hospital and they noted she has slight ptosis, but because she didn't cooperate they need to see her again in April. I'm wondering what cooperation they excpect to get out of a one year old who is EXTREMELY active and you are dilating her eyes and some stranger is prying them open while her mom is sweating from pinning her down. I can't wait for our next appointment. I can totally see the lag in her left eye but the Doctor said he doesn't really think it is anything to worry about. I can see it, but I'm the mom. It doesn't seem to slow here down....she is walking like crazy :) She started walking about two weeks before she turned one and she hasn't looked back since.

She is sooo funny.

Kenny graduates from the Police Academy on March 31st. I surely can't wait for this to be done. It has been really hard working full time, being basically a single mother, and remodeling our basement. Annalee is certainly a daddy's girl and when he is home on Saturdays they can't get enough of eachother. I can't handle it when he leaves - she follows him to the door and she just cries and reaches out her hands for him. March 31st!!! March 31st!!!

Annalee's first birthday was pretty sad. She was diagnosed with RSV the night before so we had to cancel her party. The theme was Dr. Suess and I had so many cute things for it, but it was more important that we take care of her. She has been pretty sick lately and let's just say that she can give herself her breathing treatments. Through it all she still laughs and is just a great girl. One good thing from the Police Academy is her and I have gotten to be so close. She's my girl.

We still had cake and ice cream with Kenny's family after her birthday with Kenny's family. She didn't like the birthday crown but she did love the cake and presents :) By the end of the day she was so tired she fell asleep giving her favorite doll kisses on the floor! I can't believe she is a year old!

Last week we got to go see Kenny on Wednesday - he only had one class so we got to spend a couple of hours with him. The five hour drive was so worth it though. Annalee found her next love - a firetruck shopping cart! Look at her hair. She is getting curly curly hair in the back and is still as bald as can be in the front. Business in the front - party in the back.

Here's to the Good Ole Days

The cashier at Walmart tonight was so cute. He was trying to make the best of his shift and was so nice. He asked how my 2009 was. I told him that "It was a lot." He hadn't heard that response in the three days he's been asking that question. I explained to him that I had moved 3 times, had a baby, got a new job, and a few other things. He was shocked that all happened in one year. I told him that not every year was that busy for me. On my drive home I reflected on the past and where my life is now. I love my life, but did think about the good ole days in Flagstaff. Ironically, someone posted some OLD OLD pictures of Flagstaff, I mean from the beginning days in Flagstaff. In these pictures I experimented with black hear, I'm super glad I don't have black hair anymore. To those of you who may recognize these pictures I hope they make you smile as I did. I can't post them all because that would ruin the surprise of Christmas cards and Christmas presents for some people, but wouldn't you agree she is perhaps the cutest baby....hope you all are enjoying your Holidays. We sure are!

whAt a DaY cAN BriNg!

My sweet Annalee has been sick lately. I don't like it, but don't worry she still smiles when she can. So I got her into the Doctor, which was perfect cause we needed to do a 9month check-up anyway. So we found out that she is the average height/weight of a 15month old and she is only 9months. I love that big girl. So she has a really bad sinus infection that is causing her to be really congested. I was telling my doctor a few of my other concerns/ questions when I brought up Annalee's eye. Annalee's left eye droops sometimes, never was really bad, mainly when she was tired. Well we got some pictures done a few weeks ago and a few of them came back with that dang left eye droopy (btw, they are the cutest pics and will post some later when I get the CD back!). My doctor then changed her tone of voice, she stated that she had been watching it throughout the appointment and just thought it was because Annalee was sick, but now that I was telling her it was like that before she was concerned. She said she didn't want to scare me (uh wrong thing to say to a first time mom), but that she thought I needed to make an appointment with Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake and see an eye doctor there. Uh second way wrong thing to say to a first time mom. I didn't freak out or anything, just asked a few questions of her concern and what she thought it could be. She noted ptosis. We finished the appointment, I got in the car a a tear fell down the check...what the heck is ptosis and what is it going to do to my dauther's eye. I don't really know if a mother really ever stops praying in her heart, but I said a prayer outloud for my baby. I called Primary Children's Hospital and they said the next available appointment for non-emergency eye appointments was Jan 7th...uh third thing wrong to say to a worried first time mom. I got on the internet and googled about ptosis...what the heck it can cause you to loose your vision, Jan 7th is totally unacceptable. I called the local eye doctor and he got me in two hours later. Long story short, he does not see it being ptosis, but actually has concern over the right eye, he thinks the left eye is developing normal, but the right eye is a little behind. Sweet man didn't even charge me for a visit. He recommened keeping the appointment in January just in case. Seriously, what a day can bring. We have serious breathing treatments for annalee, sinus medicine, and of course my worrying over the eye(s). I feel so much better tonight, but told Kenny that I think we need to get vision insurance. Another long story short, but we have the best insurance in the world through the army, but no vision. We can get crappier health insurance through the police department, but it has vision insurance, maybe Heavenly Father is giving us time to get vision insurance, or maybe everything is okay, but I am grateful for his tender loving care over my precious daughter. What a day can bring.

Saved By the Bell and My Sister

On Saturday I was downstairs changing out some laundry and I heard the old, beloved Saved By the Bell song on TV. I couldn't believe it. I had no idea they replayed the episodes on Saturday mornings. I laughed even harder when I cam upstairs and found my husband sitting on the couch laughing at the TV. He told me how much he loved Saved By the Bell....it just so happened to be the episode when they all took the SAT and Zac scored the highest and Jesse freaked out. Yes, we watched the whole episode and loved remembering the good ole days of coming home from school and watching Saved by the Bell...oh I miss those days of good wholesome TV.

Today I felt like I was going to go crazy - I pass the State Hospital on my way to work and today I thought "Maybe I should just stop and check myself in!" JK I've been super busy with my new job (STRESS), Annalee teething and not wanting me to put her down, remodeling/finishing our whole downstairs, my calling taking a lot of time, and taking my CDA class. My house is seriously a wreck - I just run from one thing to another, and get this, someone called the cops on us because our cars aren't registered in Wyoming yet. WHAT! Kenny's Sargeant called him and told him of the complaint and that it looked really bad to have a police officer with unregistered cars..so tomorrow I somehow have to squeeze in getting three cars registered in Wyoming, working 8 hours, being a mom, and taking a 3 hour class. BUT, tonight my sister Whitney came to drop off some stuff and she helped me with a Walmart run for work, unloaded my dishwasher, and gave Annalee a bath. It really Saved my Bell.
